Infinite Descent

In this small series the goal was to get in touch with early pottery making. Prior to the invention of the wheel, coil and scraping methods prevailed as the main way people made pottery. The goal here was to take what was known about coil and scraping techniques and apply it to new forms that were modern, sharp, and interesting. During this series, modern artists such as Diego Romero and Maria Martinez were researched to learn technique and building methods. Ancient cultures like the Anasazi were used to inspire the forms made and their ideal function.
